Letter From the Founder

Dear Community,

My name is Derrick Su’Coy Conyers, and I’m the owner and founder of Su’Coy Community Learning Center, as well as the owner of Su’Coy HVAC Heating/AC & Duct Cleaning. With over 27 years of experience in the HVAC industry and holding two master licenses in HVAC, I am passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of skilled HVAC technicians.

Our HVAC training program is eight weeks long, with classes held three days a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. At Su’Coy CLC, we focus entirely on hands-on learning—no bookwork. We believe that you can’t truly learn this trade from textbooks alone. That’s why we send our students on real-world commercial and residential HVAC jobs, duct cleaning projects, and mold remediation assignments—which even include mold testing.

The total cost for our program is $4,360, with payment plans available starting at just $900 to hold your spot in the next class. This deposit covers your enrollment and uniforms. The remaining balance must be paid in full one week before the final exam. We offer CFC Universal HVAC certification testing right here on-site, ensuring you’re fully prepared to become a certified professional. Our program is limited to 20 students per session to maintain an intimate, hands-on learning environment. Once we reach this capacity, additional applicants will be placed on a waiting list for the next session.

Did I mention we also offer job placement assistance? While we strongly encourage students to become their own boss and pursue multiple streams of income, we understand that some may not be ready for that yet. For those students, we offer job placement support to help you land your first job in the HVAC industry.

We are conveniently located in Temple Hills, Maryland, just off Beach Road. I look forward to welcoming you to our program and helping you start your career in HVAC!

Best Regards,

Derrick Su’Coy Conyers
