Su’Coy CLC Terms of Service

  • Effective date: October 13, 2026
  • Last updated: October 13, 2026

These Terms govern your use of sucoyclc.com and set the general rules for Su’Coy CLC’s training programs. Su’Coy Community Learning Center (“Su’Coy CLC,” “the School,” “we”) is operated by Su-Coy Community Learning Center, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company, 4584 Beech Road, Temple Hills, Maryland 20748.

1.Agreement and Order of Precedence

You accept these Terms by checking the box “I agree to the Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Participant Waiver” when you submit an inquiry, pay a deposit or enroll. Browsing alone does not bind you to anything beyond Section 11 (Website Use).

If documents conflict, this order controls:

  1. Your signed Enrollment Agreement
  2. The School catalog and Refund Policy
  3. The Participant Waiver
  4. The Student Code of Conduct and the Property Damage and Equipment Responsibility Agreement
  5. These Terms

Nothing in any School document reduces rights you have under Maryland or federal law.

2.Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old on your first day of class. You must provide valid photo ID at enrollment.

3.Programs

The program name, length, schedule, instructional hours, tuition, fees and included materials are those stated in the catalog and your Enrollment Agreement. Website descriptions are summaries. If the website and the catalog differ, the catalog controls.

Current programs:

ProgramLengthSchedule
HVAC Technician Training10 weeksMorning or evening sessions
Commercial & Residential Duct Cleaning Training4 daysMorning class

All instruction takes place in person at 4584 Beech Road, Temple Hills, Maryland 20748. No program is offered online, and no instruction takes place in Washington, D.C. or Virginia.

4.Tuition and Payments

You owe only the tuition and fees published in the catalog and stated in your Enrollment Agreement. We will not charge any undisclosed fee.

  • Registration fee: $4,500, no more than the lesser of 10% of tuition or $150. It is fully refundable within the 7-day cancellation period (Section 5).
  • Payment plans: if offered, the schedule is in your Enrollment Agreement. Plans with more than four installments or any finance charge come with separate federal Truth in Lending disclosures.
  • Late fees: if charged, no more than the greater of $5 or 10% of the overdue payment per month, and no more than three late fees on any one payment. Any late fee is disclosed in your Enrollment Agreement before you sign.
  • Collections: we will only seek amounts you actually owe under your signed agreements.

5.Cancellation and Refunds

7-day cancellation. You may cancel within 7 calendar days of signing your Enrollment Agreement and receive a full refund of everything you paid, including the registration fee.

After 7 days, before classes start. We refund everything except the registration fee.

After classes start. Refunds are based on the share of the program taught when you withdraw or are dismissed. These are minimums; the Refund Policy may be more generous.

20% to less than 30%60%

How to withdraw. Email or deliver written notice to the School Director. Your withdrawal date is the day we receive it. We confirm receipt in writing within 2 business days.

Payment. We pay refunds within 60 days of your withdrawal or dismissal date.

Books, tools and materials you buy become your property and are not refunded once issued to you.

If we cancel a program or close, you receive a full refund of amounts paid for instruction not delivered, or a transfer arranged with your written agreement.

6.Attendance and Completion

To complete a program you must attend at least 80% of scheduled hours, complete all required practical sessions, and pass the final assessment. Missed practical hours must be made up as set out in Section 11 of the Student Code of Conduct. Completion is shown by a School certificate of completion.

7.Certification and Licensing

The HVAC Technician Training program prepares you to sit the EPA Section 608 Technician Certification exam, which may be taken on site. That certification is issued by an EPA-approved certifying organization, not by the School, and only if you pass the exam.

Maryland requires a license to perform HVACR work. Completing a School program does not license you. An apprentice license has no education prerequisite; journey and master licenses require years of supervised work experience. You must never present yourself as licensed or certified unless you are.

8.Career Assistance

After you complete training, we offer career guidance and job-placement assistance, including resume preparation and interview preparation. We do not guarantee a job, an interview, a wage, or a placement time. Any placement figure we publish will state the period, the number of graduates and how placement was counted, and will be backed by our records.

9.Hands-On and Field Training

Training involves electricity, refrigerants, pressurized systems, torches, sharp tools and ladders. You must follow the Student Code of Conduct and every instructor safety direction. Injury risk and its allocation are covered by the Participant Waiver, which you sign before your first hands-on session.

Field training. Any visit to a customer site is supervised by the School. You may only observe unless both of these are true:

  • you hold a current Maryland HVACR apprentice license; and
  • a licensed Master or Journey licensee is present on site and directing your work.

Field training is part of your education. You are not an employee of the School or of any host business, you are not paid, and customers are not billed for your work.

Separate entity. Su’Coy Heating & AC is a separate business from Su’Coy CLC. It may host field visits, but it does not run the programs and has no obligations to you under these Terms.

10.Dismissal

The School may dismiss a student for serious or repeated violations of the Student Code of Conduct, or for failing to meet the attendance and completion requirements in Section 6, using the procedures in the Code. Refunds after dismissal follow Section 5.

11.Website Use

Do not misuse the website: no unauthorized access, malicious code, scraping, or unlawful, threatening or fraudulent content. We may restrict access to protect the site. Restricting website access does not change your enrollment status.

12.Course Materials, Recordings and Photos

Course materials are the School’s property or used under license. You may use them for your own study but may not copy, post or sell them.

You may not record classes without instructor permission (see Section 13 of the Student Code of Conduct). We will only use your name, photo, video or testimonial in marketing with your separate written consent, which you may withdraw at any time for future use. Testimonials we publish come from real students and reflect their genuine experience.

13.Privacy and Data Security

We collect your name, contact details, ID, payment and academic information to run our programs. We protect it with reasonable security measures and will notify you as Maryland law requires if it is breached. Details are in our Privacy Policy at [link].

14.Texts, Calls and Emails

We will only send you automated marketing texts or calls with your prior express written consent, given by a separate checkbox. Consent is not a condition of enrollment. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Messages about your enrollment, schedule or account are not marketing.

15.Electronic Signatures

You agree that documents may be signed and delivered electronically and that your electronic signature has the same effect as a handwritten one.

16.Accessibility and Non-Discrimination

We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, marital status, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law.

To request a disability accommodation, contact the School Director, ideally at least 10 business days before you need it. We respond within 5 business days and handle requests confidentially.

17.Mentorship Disclaimer

Any business or career mentorship we provide is general guidance. It is not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice.

18.Disputes

If you have a complaint, write to the School Director first. We respond within 10 business days and will try to resolve it within 30 days before either side goes to court.

These Terms are governed by Maryland law. Disputes go to the courts of Prince George’s County, Maryland, including the District Court for claims within its limits. You may also file a complaint with MHEC at any time.

19.Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a new date. Changes to tuition, refunds or other enrollment terms do not apply to you after you sign unless you agree in writing.

20.General

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms, with the documents in Section 1, are the full agreement on their subject. Notices to you go to the email you gave us; notices to us go to the contact below.
